Behind the Design
Beginning with our JK bumpers we have had one main goal, keep the winch as low as possible. We love our big motors and know how much air they need to stay cool, so by keeping the winch low and between the frame rails we maximize the airflow to the radiator. We also maintain a lower center of gravity which helps tremendously on those big climbs when we are out playing in the rocks.
Our winch plate has the standard 10” x 4.5” bolt pattern which fits the majority of winches manufactured today and has the space to fit up to the Warn Zeon 12. On some Jeeps trimming of the corner of the frame horn is required to fit the Zeon however it is a simple modification and can be handled with a grinder and some touch up paint. Not only do we tie to the frame horns we also tie into the crash bars. By attaching in multiple locations both at the front and rear of the plate we are able to use a lighter material than other manufacturers (saving precious weight) but maintain all the strength needed to secure the winch during those heavy pulls.
Pair the winch plate with our shackles and you can have a minimalist bumper or choose one of our bumper kits that fits your style.
